‘Making it Stick’: This year’s conference entices you to join colleagues and specialists in the field of education. With focus on Cognitive Science, presenters will challenge some of the most entrenched ideas around teaching and learning strategies, and make us really think about progress in its broadest sense.
We will look at how to support students to enable them to tap in to, and maximise their social engagement systems. We will examine the way humans function best, by optimising teaching opportunities for those who have experienced relational trauma and loss in their early years.
A fully immersive and interactive experience provided by ‘Autism Reality’ will provide a fundamental insight for anyone who is involved in supporting young people on the autistic spectrum.

Mental Health… Let’s Talk: This years conference will explore a wide range of issues that affect students experiencing Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.
Through a range of outstanding keynote speakers and professional workshop hosts there will be something to help everyone improve their practice and provide a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues to share thoughts, ideas and experiences.

The National Creative Awards is a unique opportunity for the students and staff from the national network of engage in their future member schools to express their creativity through short story writing, photography, poetry or all three.
Our theme for 2020 is CONNECTIONS. Poets, short story writers and photographers are invited to consider what this means to them and express it, whether it’s in words or a photo.
Entries will be grouped by creative category and Key Stage group. Each of the three creative categories have their own judging panel who will be looking for originality, adherence to the theme, and creative techniques. Individuals can submit one entry per creative category and each entry must be accompanied by its own entry form. Everyone that submits an entry will receive a certificate.

The engage in their future South/South East Conference 2020 will be held on Friday 1st May 2020 at Muntham House School in Horsham, West Sussex.
The conference will feature workshops from leading practitioners in SEMH from special schools and provisions in England and Wales, with keynote speakers Dr. Pooky Knightsmith and David Taransaud.
